Your Time is the Ultimate Luxury

Dental Crowns FAQ
Excellence Without Compromise
Just because it’s fast doesn’t mean we’ve cut corners. Our Same Day Crowns are built for durability and aesthetics, designed to blend seamlessly with your smile for years to come.
Traditional crowns require two visits, messy "putty" impressions, and a two-week wait for an outside lab. At Moss Dental, we use CAD/CAM technology. First, we use an intraoral scanner to create a 3D digital map of your tooth—no gagging, no mess. Then, our computer software designs your crown with micron-level precision. This design is sent to our on-site milling machine, which carves your crown from a solid block of high-strength ceramic while you wait. We then glaze and "fire" the crown in a specialized oven to ensure it matches the exact shade and strength of your natural teeth. You walk in with a damaged tooth and walk out with a permanent, beautiful restoration in about 90 to 120 minutes.
Yes. In fact, in many cases, they are more durable because the digital fit is so precise. We use high-quality ceramic blocks (like E-max or Zirconia) that are identical to what a top-tier dental lab would use. Because the crown is milled from a single, solid block of material, there are no internal layers or "seams," making it incredibly resistant to fractures. Furthermore, because we bond the crown to your tooth immediately, there is no "leakage" or sensitivity that can sometimes occur when wearing a temporary crown for two weeks.
Most patients who need a crown for a cracked tooth, a large cavity that a filling can't fix, or after a root canal are perfect candidates. However, if you require a specialized "bridge" or have extremely complex aesthetic needs on your front teeth that require hand-layering by a master ceramist, we might still suggest a traditional lab process. During your consultation, we use our digital scanner to show you exactly what your tooth needs and whether the "Same-Day" route is the best clinical choice for your specific bite.

Why wait weeks for a smile that should be yours today? At Moss Dental Studio, we’ve eliminated the temporary crowns, the messy putty, and the second appointments. Using advanced CEREC technology, we design, craft, and fit your custom permanent crown in a single visit.
Walk in with a concern. Walk out with a masterpiece.
